Once again, the VFW auxiliary has placed a Tree of Heroes at the Greene County courthouse. The auxiliary invites all to honor a veteran, alive or deceased, or active duty service personnel with a star on the tree.
A donation to the auxiliary is requested to place a star, with proceeds going to projects of the auxiliary. The stars will be given to the honoree or his/her family after the holidays.
To place a star, mail a donation and the name of the honoree to VFW auxiliary treasure Jan Schrunk, 200 E. Clark, Jefferson, IA 50129.
